Since2003,hehastrekkedthroughTibet,Qinghai,Gansu,Sichuan,YunnanandotherplacesinhabitedbyTibetanpeople,resultinginthespecialalbumTheReflectionofSoul,whichshowcasesthesceneryofTibet,locallifestylesandreligiouspractices.
AccordingtoAmericancriticandhistorianA.D.Coleman,Yang’sTibetanworkhaspenetratedtheupperechelonsofglobalclassicsandmainstreamdocumentaryphotography,andanyWesterncriticcanconfirmitsstatus.
Theexhibitionfeatures114classicblack-and-whitedocumentaryphotographsbyYangYankang,whichwereallenlargedandprintedmanuallybythephotographerhimself.
